1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase of tickets and attendance at events at Badminton Estate.
Where tickets are sold by a third-party provider, their terms will also apply.
2. Definitions
- Event: Any activity, show, race, or gathering hosted at Badminton Estate.
- Ticket Holder / Customer / You: The person who purchases a ticket.
- Third-Party Ticket Provider: External organisations selling tickets (e.g. Badminton Horse Trials, Spartan Race and RHS).
3. Ticket Sales
- Tickets may be purchased directly from Badminton Estate or via third-party providers.
- Ticket prices are displayed on our website or the partner site at the time of purchase.
- All sales are subject to availability.
- Tickets are valid only for the event and date specified, unless otherwise agreed.
4. Refunds & Cancellations
4.1 Tickets Purchased Directly from Badminton Estate
- Tickets are non-refundable, except in the case of event cancellation by Badminton Estate.
- If an event is cancelled, postponed, or significantly changed, you will be offered:
- a full refund, or
- a transfer to a rescheduled date (if available).
- Refunds are not available for:
- change of personal circumstances
- inability to attend
- weather conditions unless the event is cancelled
- failure to comply with event instructions or terms
4.2 Ticket Transfers
- Tickets are generally non-transferable.
- Transfers may be permitted at Badminton Estate’s discretion, for example, for Open Garden Day events.
- Requests for transfers must be made in advance and may be subject to an administration fee.
4.3 Tickets Purchased Through Third-Party Providers
- All refund, exchange, and cancellation requests for third-party tickets must be made directly with the ticket seller.
- Badminton Estate cannot process refunds or make changes for third-party tickets.
- Check the confirmation email or the third-party organiser’s website for full details.
4.4 Event Changes or Cancellations
- Badminton Estate reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter events for operational, safety, or unforeseen reasons.
- Notification will be sent to ticket holders as soon as possible.
- Refunds or transfers will be offered in accordance with whether the ticket was purchased directly or through a third-party provider.
5. Entry Conditions & Visitor Conduct
- Ticket holders must comply with all instructions, rules, and signage at the event.
- Badminton Estate reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person acting in a way that may compromise safety, enjoyment, or compliance.
- Prohibited behaviour includes but is not limited to: disruptive conduct, abuse of staff or other attendees, or violating health and safety regulations.
6. Safety & Liability
- All attendees must follow safety guidelines issued by Badminton Estate or event organisers.
- Ticket holders are responsible for their personal safety and property.
- Badminton Estate is not liable for accidents, injury, loss, or theft, except where required by law.
- Certain areas or activities may be closed or altered for safety reasons, with no entitlement to a refund unless the event is cancelled.
7. Data Protection
- Personal information collected during ticket purchases is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Information is used to process purchases, communicate event updates, and comply with legal obligations.
8. Third-Party Links
- Some events are ticketed or promoted via third-party websites.
- Badminton Estate is not responsible for the content or policies of third-party sites.
- Use of such sites is subject to the third-party’s own terms and conditions.
9. Changes to Terms
- Badminton Estate may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
- The updated terms will apply from the date of posting.
- It is your responsibility to review the T&Cs prior to purchase.
