Creating Magic with Flowers & Photography
Join photographer Britt Willoughby and floral designer Holly Gavin for a day of floral artistry and photography at the iconic Badminton Estate this autumn. Together, they invite guests to celebrate the beauty of the season, immersing themselves in history, flowers and photography in one of the country’s most atmospheric settings.
What to Expect
We begin our day by gathering in the stunning West Wing at Badminton House for coffee and an introduction.
Following this we will wander up to the Walled Garden soaking up the surrounding history of the Badminton Estate. Once we have reached this bountiful working garden we will discuss & practice how to observe and capture flora, both in situ and within an arrangement. The Walled Garden has supplied the Beaufort family and their guests with vegetables, salad and blooms for generations and we are very fortunate to be able to cut a few focal stems to adorn your own floral displays.
Holly will be demonstrating how to create an arrangement in the greenhouse and Britt will assist in showing you how to capture it, on your own camera or smart phone.
After our time in the Walled Garden we will wander back down to the West Wing where we will have a simple autumnal lunch and then begin to create an arrangement with the stems you have chosen, Britt will show you how photograph your flowers with atmosphere and depth giving you the confidence to continue capturing your work beyond the workshop.
