Badminton House Open Gardens

Visit the private gardens at Badminton House

Come and see the Private Gardens of the historic Badminton House, the home of The Duke and Duchess of Beaufort.

The beautiful private gardens are only open once a year to the general public.  There is a wealth of variety to explore from the formal beds on the east side of the House designed by Russell Page to the South Gardens with its water squares, hedges, beds and borders reminiscent of one of the great Loire Valley gardens.  Glorious displays of roses and borders of soft summer colours with herbaceous perennials, tulips, campanulas, penstemons, geraniums, phlox and anemones. The stunning walled garden a short stroll from the house through the park presents an archway, which runs the full length of the garden, covered with roses, clematis, wisteria and yellow laburnum.  It is a magical experience.

You are also invited to visit Well Cottage, the home of Miranda, The Duchess of Beaufort, which is a short drive through Badminton House Park.  Beautiful cottage gardens and greenhouses await you and the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of The Duchess’s book.
